The DC Fashion Foundation’s new fiscal year started on October 1, and we are excited to share our corporate sponsors for the year: Macy’s Inc. Charitable Contributions and Capital One Investing for Good!

Macy’s states, “Creating and celebrating community is at the heart of Macy’s and we are committed to giving back.” This long-time partner to the DC Fashion Foundation has offered both financial and in-kind support. The DC Fashion Incubator, our premier program, is based out of a glass-enclosed studio at the Washington, DC Metro Center store. Additionally, Macy’s provides opportunities for our Designers-in-Residence to create gowns for celebrity models in the annual Red Dress Collection Show at New York Fashion Week. And numerous Designers-in-Residence have sold their work at Macy’s stores throughout the nation through its Market @ Macy’s program. We are grateful and excited to partner for another year!

Capital One Investing for Good shares, “We’re empowering individuals and families through financial literacy, helping individuals bridge the digital skills gap and showing small businesses how to harness technology to grow and compete.” Its varied impacts on the Washington, DC community and beyond span skills for the 21st century, financial well-being, small business development, and affordable housing. The DC Fashion Foundation is ecstatic to partner with Capital One Investing for Good, and to empower our Designers-in-Residence with the knowledge to bolster their financial resiliency and put forth sustainably-funded collections.

Thank you again to our sponsors. We cannot wait to dive into another year of programming together!
