Phase I of the ideaPlexDC at the historic Strand Theater located in Ward 7. The project is a total community-facility as we are mainly providing workforce development training and providing digital production, co-working and innovation incubator space for local small and disadvantaged creative entrepreneurs. Community members will enjoy access to best-in-class creative technology infrastructure (i.e., software, hardware and digital production-related equipment), professional design/production facilities along with access to administrative and back-end software tools. Facilities include private and team offices, dedicated work desks, mixed-media/micro art galleries/studios and other flexible spaces for creatives. The primary function of the facility is to provide Instruction and hands-on experience for our students in the All Roads Academy as we develop the next generation of media, entertainment, fashion production and creatives entrepreneurs; especially small and disadvantaged businesses. Our vision is to empower and enable creatives through entrepreneurial training and mentoring to foster a higher degree of innovation while becoming more competitive in the market place.
